Interview with Ron Kuijpers, about Broekman Logistics attending TLM Munich.

Broekman Logistics: a global player

Broekman Logistics is a global player that strives to be a fully-fledged logistics partner, adding sustainable value to the supply chain network through a personal approach. Broekman Logistics is a full-service logistics company specializing in complex logistics issues including sea, road, air, and multimodal transport. The company focuses on the logistical handling of various goods, warehousing, distribution, and break-bulk cargo terminals. It provides global supply-chain solutions through its international offices around the world. Originally founded in Rotterdam, it now has several branches throughout the Netherlands, including one in Venlo – the logistical hotspot of Europe – since early 2019. The company has also expanded to Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, India, China, and Singapore.

Why Limburg?

The company has opted for a strategic location in the logistics hotspot of Europe. The brand-new ultramodern logistics campus in Venlo is located at the heart of the multimodal transport hub. It's a great location with excellent logistical connections; a perfect strategic base for transport throughout Western Europe. ‘The combination of the geographical location and the logistics services of our new location in Venlo is unique,’ says Ron Kuijpers, Director of Business Development. The logistics campus in Venlo offers storage, logistics, and assembly activities for non-hazardous products as well as specialized chemical goods (both being PGS-15 plus PGS-8 certified). In addition, the storage facilities comply with the strictest safety and environmental laws and regulations.

Specialised market leader

Broekman Logistics takes care of the transport and storage of certain chemical substances and goods, but has a particular focus on the logistics process as a whole – which can often be very complex – and can offer various solutions. These solutions are formulated on the basis of years of expertise and a personal approach. It is therefore for good reason that Broekman Logistics can claim the title of market leader in the Benelux region, particularly in the field of the storage and transport of certain chemicals. Many different laws and regulations apply, and in some cases specific permits are required, permits that companies in neighbouring countries often do not hold. Another feature that sets Broekman Logistics apart from its competitors is the innovations that the company implements itself, such as technical developments at the new premises in Venlo ensuring optimum safety in the storage of chemical substances. In short, Broekman Logistics constantly focuses on innovation. The company also considers it important to be a member of various sector organizations, such as ELC Limburg and Smart Logistics Centre Venlo. The province's businesses benefit from working together; by doing so, today's knowledge can be lifted to an even higher level.

Naturally, Broekman Logistics also works alongside various partners. Over the years, the company has built up a strong network of international partners and representatives in the logistics sector. Broekman Logistics takes care of the entire logistics process, from A to Z, assisted by various partners along the way.

The Transport Logistic trade fair

It's the biggest international logistics trade fair in Europe, and one at which Broekman Logistics definitely wants to show its face. It offers an opportunity to set up partnerships with the other participants as well as with visitors to the fair. In Ron Kuijpers’s view, Limburg has well and truly earned the title 'logistics hotspot of Europe'.
