The Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers & Agents (FONASBA) grants Broekman Shipping b.v. and Neptumar b.v. the FONASBA Quality Standard which assists ship owners and operators to identify those agents and brokers who are well-funded and demonstrate a tangible commitment to quality. The award ceremony for the certificate will take place on the 4th of January 2017 in Rotterdam, where Jaap van Zevenbergen, will receive the official certificate.

With its foundation in 1969, the organisation promotes fair and equitable practices and ensures that the needs of their members are understood at international, regional and individual national level across the maritime industry. The organisation also acts as a consultant at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) and the World Customs Organisation (WCO). Their membership consists of 55 countries, represented by 45 national associations of ship brokers and agents.
