Rutger (1981), married and father of a daughter and two boys - for whom he is the Lego Master - graduated in 2007 with a Master of Science from Delft University of Technology and obtained an executive MBA from Kellogg-WHU in 2023.

He started his career at Dutch chemical company DSM as a market analyst, followed by several roles in sales & business development, including head of marketing at DSM’s carve-out Stamicarbon, prior to joining Broekman Logistics as General Manager Marketing, in 2017. In 2019 he became Director Business Development, leading the Sales teams for the Dutch freight forwarding division and the breakbulk terminals.

In August 2021 he assumed the position of Global Commercial Director, responsible for the global roll-out and execution of the company’s commercial strategy and the global partner networks.
