Light-To-Light Order Picking

Order Initiation: When an order is entered into the warehouse management system (WMS), it sends instructions to the pick-to-light system.

Light Indication: Lights illuminate at the specific bin locations where items need to be picked, often color-coded for different types of actions.

Picking: The picker goes to the lit location, collects the number of items shown on the display, and confirms completion by pressing a button at the bin, which turns the light off.

Order Completion: Once all items are picked, the system updates the WMS, and the order can be packed and shipped.

By eliminating manual searching and reducing processing time, this system optimises productivity and enhances supply chain efficiency.
