Onze collega Tomas van der Maarel werd geïnterviewd door Peter Otte – Tekstschrijver én journalist voor een meeslepend verhaal in het tijdschrift Onze Haven.

Hij vertelt hoe hij zijn carrière bij Broekman Logistics aftrapte en blikt terug op 2023 als het jaar waarin hij door de Jong Havenvereniging werd aangesteld als Jong Haventalent. In zijn rol was zijn primaire missie om jongeren te interesseren voor een baan in de Rotterdamse haven: “Er is een groot tekort aan personeel in de hele haven. Human capital is meer dan een Engelse term. Zonder mensen is er geen haven.”
