Technical Assembly Project for GBT

Broekman Project Services had the privilege of handling a unique project – the assembly of a monumental 150-tonne crystallizer for our esteemed client, GBT. This project showcases our expertise in heavy lift operations and our commitment to delivering exceptional logistics solutions.

The crystallizer, a vital component for GBT’s operations, was transported from Marl, Germany, to our state-of-the-art Heavy Lift Centre in Rotterdam Heijplaat. Here, our team meticulously planned and executed the assembly process, which spanned over three months. This involved coordinating the delivery of twelve components via barge and road transport, followed by the intricate assembly of the crystallizer within our spacious indoor halls.

Our Heavy Lift Centre, equipped with cutting-edge facilities and capable of lifting loads up to 700 tonnes, provided the perfect environment for this complex operation. Our skilled technicians, supported by advanced equipment, ensured that every step of the assembly process was carried out with precision and efficiency.

The strategic location of our Heavy Lift Centre, coupled with its direct connection to our terminal with a specialized quay for offshore and heavy lift cargo, played a pivotal role in the success of this project.

Once assembled, the crystallizer was transported to the adjacent quay using a specialized Scheuerle K25 self-propelled trailer, operated by Mammoet. From there, it was carefully lifted onto a vessel of SAL Heavy Lift for its journey to the end customer in Jordan.
